Student Recital with Kantu Inka at Dayton Senior Center Aug. 12

August 12, 2022 - 6:00pm Dayton, Nevada - This summer a group of Dayton adults have been learning to play a traditional Andean instrument, the zampoña flute, with Nevada Arts Council Teaching Artists Carlos Ocampo and Julie Lozada Ocampo of Kantu Inka.
They will demonstrate what they’ve learned on their Andean pan flutes, joining Julie and Carlos for a performance at the Dayton Senior Center on Friday, August 12 at 6pm.

June 13, 2022 (All day) This summer there will be two concerts for all ages in Dayton with Carlos Ocampo and Julie Lozada Ocampo of Kantu Inka.
The duo brings Peruvian culture alive with music and an introduction to traditional instruments of the Andes such as zampoñas, quenas, charangos, bombos, and chacchas. Both concerts are free and open to all.

August 3, 2019 - 6:00pm The historic Comstock town of Silver City, Nev. will host another free, family-friendly public event on Saturday August 3. Kantu Inka will perform on the town’s outdoor stage, the Silver Pavilion, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Kantu Inka is a duo including Carlos Ocampo and Julie Lozada Ocampo. They bring Peruvian culture alive with dance and traditional instruments such as zampoñas, quenas, charangos, bombos, chacchas, and cajón.
