The Micromanipulator Company recently hosted the award-winning 2016-17 Eagle Valley Middle School Jedi Engineers of Carson City, along with school district officials, local businesses, families and friends.

Boys and Girls Clubs in Carson City unveil Mike Frezzo Tech Center

The Frezzo family of Washoe Valley honored their son and brother Mike, who passed away from esophageal cancer in 2014, by presenting a naming gift to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Nevada to establish the Mike Frezzo Tech Center for Club members ages 5 to 12.

Katie Leao, chief professional officer for the Club, said the Club’s tech lab had not been updated for over 8 years. The gift includes new furniture and 30 new Chromebook laptops, similar to those used by the Carson City School District.

Registration open for trail event to raise money for injured and families of fallen firefighters

Registration is open for the Northern Nevada Wildfire Awareness Multi-hour Trail Event hosted by University of Nevada Cooperative Extension’s Living With Fire Program in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management and Desert Sky Adventures.
