We meet at the Black Bear restaurant inside of Max Casino on the second Thursday of the month at 11:30 a.m. We order our own lunches and then have our meeting.
Carson Tahoe Health, Rotary of Carson City celebrate Labyrinth anniversary and partnership
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Wed, 11/06/2019 - 8:57amWednesday marks 13 years since the opening of the outdoor Labyrinth located at the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center. The unique space was made possible through a generous donation from the Rotary Club of Carson City.
In 2006, under the leadership of past president Rafael Cappucci, the Rotary Club contributed $75,000 to build the Labyrinth, and gave another $200,000 in support of the Cancer Center project over a four-year period.

Carson City's VIPS for Vets Receives Generous Donation
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Fri, 09/20/2019 - 9:31amRupert’s Auto Body donated a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze to the Sheriff’s Office VIPS for Vets program to support the growing need for transportation services for local veterans. The VIPS for Vets program has grown tremendously over the past two years as it serves to accommodate day-to-day errands for homebound veterans. Carson City’s veterans will continue to have the reassurance in knowing they can rely on VIPS for Vets transport if needed. With the addition of the new reliable vehicle, this service can help more veterans travel greater distances.
Central Lyon Fire District welcomes new firefighters
