The program will include a photographic preview of the soon-to-open Northern Nevada State Veterans Home.
Navy League to Celebrate Veteran's Day

We will also pay tribute to our MIA’s and POW’s and celebrate both the Navy and Marine Corps birthdays. Our speaker for the Special Veteran’s Day celebration will be Katherine (Kat) Miller, Colonel, USA retired, who is Director of the Nevada Department of Veterans Services.
Unclaimed remains of 27 veterans to receive a military funeral in Fernley

The service will be held beginning at 2 p.m. at the Northern Nevada State Veterans Cemetery, located at 14 Veterans Way, in Fernley, Nev. The public is invited to attend.
Governor Sandoval to honor Carson City veteran Kevin Burns, Douglas veterans support group

The public is invited to attend as United Veterans Legislative Council Chairman Kevin Burns and the Douglas County non-profit, Welcome All Veterans Everywhere will be recognized and honored.
Public invited to groundbreaking ceremony for new Northern Nevada State Veterans Home

On Monday, July 17, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., there will be Groundbreaking Ceremony to celebrate the construction of the new Northern Nevada State Veterans Home. The event will be held on the site of the new facility, 2 Kietzke Lane, Sparks, NV, which is located across from the DMV.
Governor Sandoval signs measure to align state services for Nevada’s veteran community

Brian Sandoval signed Assembly Bill 19 on Tuesday, a measure voted unanimously by both houses and originally introduced by the Nevada Department of Veterans Services. AB19 expands the type of information related to veterans that must be reported to the Interagency Council on Veterans Affairs.

Caleb Cage named Nevada Office of Veterans Services executive director
Submitted by editor on Fri, 07/30/2010 - 1:50pmNevada Gov. Jim Gibbons announced the appointment today of Caleb Cage as the executive director of the Nevada Office of Veterans Services.
Cage presently serves as a Senior Policy Advisor/Rural and Veterans Issues for Nevada Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki.
Cage attained the rank of Captain in the U.S. Army, serving in Iraq as recently as 2006. Captain Cage was awarded the Army’s Bronze Star Medal for his service in Iraq. He is a 2002 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York.
Gov. Gibbons Appoints Harvey As New Chief Of Nevada Veterans Services
