Events include a Real ID town hall meeting at the Carson City DMV, the economic impact of pro soccer in Northern Nevada will be featured at NNDA's Business Edge at Casino Fandango, Carson City Schools offers the first of three pre-kindergarten programs for parents and will also host a separate strategic plan meeting. Meanwhile, Carson Tahoe Health and Wellness hosts a yoga class, plus Salsa dancing at Yaple's Ballroom, country and pop dancing at Carson Lanes, a safety workshop for women and more.

In fact, counselors, teachers, and other administrators stood at each of the school entrances welcoming students to the best high school in the state, hyperbole aside.

St. Paul's Lutheran Family Rummage Sale this Saturday

Highlights of the sale are a boutique jewelry room, a room of decorator items, furniture, housewares and much more.

Senator Square: Gearing up for the Carson High School talent show

Auditions for the talent show will be on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2:05 p.m. in the upstairs cafeteria at CHS. Audition applications can be picked up from room No. 243 or the office.
