Silver State Offers Associates Degree with High School Diploma to Eligible Students

After meeting with Western Nevada College representatives and analyzing whether students would benefit from such a program, administrators at Silver State Charter Schools unanimously decided to participate in the program.

Thoroughly Modern Millie, Jr. is the high-spirited musical romp that will have all of Carson City dancing the Charleston! In New York City in 1922, young Millie Dillmount has just moved to the big city in search of a new life for herself.
Silver State Charter Schools Needs The Public's Help
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Mon, 10/13/2014 - 2:31pmSilver State Charter Schools needs the help of the public at their next Governing Body Meeting this Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the Mark Twain Room at Silver State, 788 Fairview Drive, Carson City.
Objective and Outcome: This school is in need of the public’s assistance to bring this Board into lawful compliance. A status this Board has not enjoyed since May of 2013.
How the Public can help: We need public volunteers to attend this coming Tuesday’s meeting which will be held at the Silver State Charter School in the “Mark Twain” room.
Silver State Stars to hold all-ages auditions Saturday for Midsummer Night's Dream
Submitted by editor on Wed, 09/24/2014 - 10:05amAuditions for The Silver State Stars production of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream will be Saturday, Sept. 27 at 9 a.m. at the Performing Arts Center at Silver State Charter Schools.
Open to the public - looking for actors of all-ages. Those auditioning should prepare a one minute classical monologue.
Community rehearsals will be held Saturdays 9 a.m. to noon at the Performing Arts Center at Silver State Charter Schools. Performances December 11-14, 2014. Additional auditions for Silver State Charter Schools students will be held Thursday, September 25 at 12:30pm.
More than 500 solar panels going up at two Carson City area schools
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Wed, 03/05/2014 - 11:21amBlack Rock Solar began construction in late February on two new Carson City area photovoltaic arrays: 324 ground-mounted panels at Sierra Lutheran High School and 193 rooftop panels at Silver State Charter Schools.
That means 135 kW of clean energy from the sun powering the 91-student Christian school and the 7th to 12th-grade charter school. It also means an annual utility-bill savings of more than $19,000 for the two schools – that’s $19,000 that can go toward expanded educational opportunities within the Carson City and Douglas County communities.
New Campus Celebration with Silver State Charter School

Dedication and ribbon cutting will be a part of this event, including an open house, tours and refreshments until 3 P.M.
The location of the event is at 788 Fairview Drive.
