The open house runs from 4 to 7 p.m. This will be a fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada. The ribbon cutting is at 5:30 p.m.
NIA Alliance is asking for donations for the club in lieu of any flowers or gifts. The event is at 504 Musser Street in Carson City.

Baijounas, who has been affiliated with Farmers Insurance for 34 years in Nevada and California, set out on her own in May of this year with a branch as an agency owner.

These are the kids who raise the animals so lovingly, yet are willing to release them for sale. These are the kids now bringing attention to the farm-to-table movement and are learning the value of a job well done.
As the late Whitney Houston sang, “I believe children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way.”
4-H clubs were formed to teach our children the importance of agriculture and to learn new ways to better farm or raise their animals.

Bealls store manager Kessn Flitton said customers filed into the 24,000-square-foot store for the grand opening ribbon cutting, taking advantage of bargains, sales, 25 percent off coupons, shopping sprees, gift card and merchandise giveaways.
At least 300 customers went through cashier lines within the first hour of opening, said Regional Manager Lewis Rael.

The new store is now open for business on what was once weed-filled vacant land just south of the Gold Dust West. Store Manager Patrick Henley told us this is the first store to open in Nevada and Carson City was chosen because of all the small ranches in the area. Much research went into choosing the first location bringing us yet another retail establishment further assuring this city remains a retail hub for our region.
