The combined 29th Annual America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride, that was postponed to merge with the 18th Annual Tour de Tahoe, scheduled for Sunday, September 13, 2020 has been postponed to their traditional dates in 2021.

Nevada National Guard drill weekend in north state postponed

UPDATE: A press release Thursday stated that the Nevada National Guard postponed drill because of anticipated severe inclement weather. Only Nevada Army Guard units will postpone drill this month. The 152nd Airlift Wing of the Nevada Air Guard will conduct monthly drill as scheduled.

CARSON CITY — The Nevada National Guard drill set for all northern Nevada armories, bases and facilities Saturday and Sunday Jan. 7-8 is postponed and will be rescheduled due to anticipated severe inclement weather.

Ellis remains atop leaderboard after second round in Web.com Qualifier at Dayton Valley

John Ellis of San Jose, Calif. fired a 6-under par 66 to take sole possession of the 36-hole lead at 13-under par 131 in the Web.com Tour Qualifying Tournament at Dayton Valley Golf Club. Canadians Darren Wallace and Cory Renfrew, who played in the same threesome, are two shots back at 11-under 133 after carding 66 and 67 respectively.

Sean Einhaus of Germany and Erick Justesen of San Jose, Calif. are tied for fourth at 10-under 134. First round co-leader Dusty Fielding shot 1-under 71 and is sixth at 8-under 136.

Sierra League tournament postponed

High winds forced postponement of the Carson High boys golf team's Sierra League tournament at Thunder Canyon Golf Course on Monday.
The tournament has been rescheduled for next Monday at Thunder Canyon, starting at noon. Another tournament is on the schedule for Tuesday, April 6, in Fallon.
