The next event, on Sunday, September 13, features Niall McGuinness & the New World Jazz Project playing soul, Latin, and world jazz from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The five-piece band, including reeds, keyboard, bass, drums, and percussion, will be live-streamed from Empire Ranch Golf by A to Zen Media.
Memorial exhibit, virtual prevention walk, music and more highlight weekend around Carson City

Western Nevada College will host a memorial exhibit and informational presentation on the 9-11 attacks on Friday. Partnership Carson City will team up for a statewide suicide prevention virtual walk this Saturday. Along with live music and a 5K run/walk at Bob McFadden Plaza, there is plenty of excitement buzzing around the state capitol! Read on for more information.

Carson City jazz music and art festival unveils revised plan, events to run into September

The festival was founded in 2004. This is the first year in which gathering of large crowds at musical events has been restricted due to health concerns.

Grab summer with both hands and go enjoy this beautiful city. The Brewery Arts Center brings Dennis Johnson and the Mississippi Ramblers to the stage for tonight’s free concert. Check out the Railroad Museum for your fill of music and antique motor cars. The Carson City Library has several activities planned today, and one of them might be what you’re looking for. Story time this morning is for the little ones. Just about everyone is welcome to participate in their weekly Lego Club build. Families will enjoy movie night; just make sure to register online if you’re planning on seeing Peter Rabbit with them this evening. The Jazz and Beyond Music Festival is in full swing, so you’ll find plenty of music around.
Hear a Smokin' band tonight in Carson City, but not in all that smoke

King St. The concert was originally planned for Comma Courtyard, but the performers want to present the event in a comfortable and healthy atmosphere.

Jazz vocalist LaTisha Lewis set to play Adele's Thursday
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Tue, 08/13/2013 - 12:38pmThere is a scheduling change announced for two dates of Café at Adele’s Summer Concert Series on the Veranda. Jazz vocalist LaTisha Lewis performs Thursday, Aug. 15 at 6:30 p.m.
New World Jazz Project and Niall McGuinness were originally slated to play that date. They will now perform Thursday, Sept. 12 at 6 p.m. to accommodate shortened daylight hours.

Cowboy songs, storytelling with Mike Beck featured at Adele's Summer Concert Series

A favorite performer on the Cowboy Poetry circuit, singer-songwriter, poet and working cowboy Beck is touring in support of his album “Tribute,” which showcases original horse songs written through the years, raising money for The Joyful Horse Project, a non-profit organization based in Austin, Texas that pairs combat veterans with rescue horses being trained for rehabilitation.

Offering a line-up that ranges from jazz and world music to American rock and country, this season showcases some of the best talent from Nevada and California.
"Each year, the concert series has grown and we have enjoyed a wide range of music by talented performers, all of whom bring something special to the table," said Charlie Abowd, chef and co-owner of Cafe at Adele's.

It’s all under the umbrella of the Mile High Jazz Band, which offers a five-singer tribute to Count Basie Saturday night from 8 to 10 p.m. at the 3rd Street site.
