Healthy Communities meeting Thursday features speakers from Neighbor Network of Northern Nevada

Each meeting includes introductions from all attending, presentations by guest speakers, and discussion and updates about collaborative efforts to increase access to health care; nutritious food; workforce development; and prevention of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use.
Openings to serve with AmeriCorps in financial literacy program in rural Nevada

Nevada nonprofit joins forces with Montana nonprofit focused on fighting sex trafficking

Approximately 109,000 of them will be trafficked into sexual slavery or forced labor. Only 1% of Human trafficking victims are ever recovered. Two organizations dedicated to fighting the scourge of Human trafficking have just joined forces to combat this crime against humanity.

Groups Rally Support for Dayton Food Pantry

Dayton Food Pantry manager Alie Trier said, “This Thanksgiving we were so grateful for the hundreds of turkeys and hams, side items, and checks donated by the community. Now we even have enough to provide more than 500 more familes with spiral hams for Christmas. Thank you awesome community members!”

More Than 2,300 Nevada Nonprofits Lose Tax Exempt Status With IRS

The revocations run the gamut, from the Edgewood Tahoe Mens Club to the Lovelock Alfalfa Seed Growers. Most of the revocations occurred in 2010 but were just posted by the agency last year.
