My Thousand Words Book Sculptures

Heading into the Veterans Day weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region over the next four days. Events include live comedy, art and heater, multiple holiday craft fairs around Carson City and Carson Valley as well as several Veterans Day ceremonies and offers of gratitude to vets and active duty members of the U.S. military on Monday. October in Northern Nevada means more than Nevada Day. There are also outhouse races, fall festivals and Oktoberfests; all three of which are happening this first weekend of October around the region.

All good things must come to an end, and that includes the weekend. What is beginning, however, is Bike to Work Week. Please remember to share the road with those braving the potentially icky weather during busy commute times.
