Carson Tahoe Health unveils first ever ‘Karma Boxes’ to help those in need

Carson Tahoe Health (CTH) is unveiling several “Karma Boxes” (wooden/Plexiglas donation cabinets) at its various locations to house toiletries, first-aid items, and nonperishable foods for those in need, all available at any time and at no cost.

This simple, yet powerful concept is best summed up by its slogan, “If it’s empty, fill it. If you need it, it’s yours.”

CARSON CITY — In support of breast cancer awareness this October, Carson Tahoe Health has donated pink athletic socks for Carson and Douglas High School’s football players to dawn for their big rivalry game Oct. 25.

Carson Tahoe Health and Red's Old 395 Grill in Carson City partnered Monday to host their annual kick-off event, "Think Pink," a campaign for breast cancer awareness. More than $4,000 was raised last night, alone. The campaign runs throughout the month of October, in recognition of breast cancer awareness month, to encourage women to take charge of their health.
