Lost Dog!

Lost dog finds its way to Carson City Sheriff's Office

This friendly dog was found wandering late Thursday morning outside of the Carson City Sheriff's Office on Harbin and Musser streets. He is friendly, obedient, fairly young, may have some pit bull mix in him, with a brown and black coat, white chest and white feet.
If you know this dog, he is at the Nevada Humane Society, 549 Airport Rd, Carson City. Call (775) 887-2171.

After 31 days on the lam, lost dog 'Finn' found at Carson High baseball fields

On Dec. 28, Finnegan the terrier snuck off into the night while being babysat, clad only in a sweater. In a triumph of community help, people from Carson City came out in droves to help locate the little lost dog, and Monday their efforts paid off.

Missing Chihuahua near Koontz Lane

My dog, Milo, went missing on January 17 around noon. He was last seen behind Raley's near the Mountain View Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He is a light and dark brown six year-old Chihuahua with white on his chest. He did not have a collar.

New sightings of Kizzy the red cattle dog, who escaped from her owner at Fuji Park on Oct. 2, have been made. The elusive medium-build, pointy-eared, short red-haired dog was recently seen behind Costco as well as across the highway at Western Nevada Supply Company.

Carson City Fire Department rescues man after vehicle rolls 400 feet down Goni Canyon

Carson City Fire personnel rescue a 40-year-old man who was injured after his truck rolled 400 feet off Goni Road in Carson City, Nev., on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016. The man spent about a day in the wreckage until family members located him and called authorities. He had been looking for a lost dog. He was taken to a Reno hospital for treatment.

Carson City deputies, rescue crews respond to vehicle down embankment in Goni Canyon

UPDATE 3:20PM: The 40-year-old victim in a vehicle rollover was taken out of Goni Canyon by helicopter and transported by ground ambulance to Renown Medical Center in Reno following a rescue Wednesday afternoon. The man's pickup was discovered by a friend who went looking for him after he had not returned home overnight. The man had been looking for a lost dog, friends and family said. The pickup was found around 400 feet down into a canyon and required a technical rescue involving 10 Carson City Fire Department firefighters.

UPDATE 1:58PM: The pickup was found in the canyon about 400 feet down from the road, said Carson City Undersheriff Steve Albertsen. Care Flight has been called in to transport the man out of the canyon after he arrives in a safe area where the helicopter can land, dispatch said. An NAS helicopter out of Fallon was canceled.

UPDATE: Carson City deputies and rescue crews have made contact with an injured 40-year-old man whose vehicle was discovered around 400 feet down an embankment this afternoon in Goni Canyon. The man sustained injuries to his hands and back, some lacerations and is not trapped inside the vehicle.

Miss Lexie went missing on 06/09/2014 from the Carson River area, near Buzzy's Ranch. She normally runs with Apollo and they return within a day or two but this time Apollo returned home alone.
