Information regarding June 9 voting in Carson City, changes due to COVID-19

However, safety is key, and that’s why pursuant to NRS 293.213(4), all Carson City precincts have been designated as absent ballot mailing precincts for the upcoming primary election.

As of Friday at 5 p.m., 14 candidates have filed to run for the offices of School District Trustee, Mayor, and Board of Supervisors.
In Carson City, there are currently 33,851 registered voters, with about 14,000 registered Republican, about 10,000 registered Democrat, and 9,000 registered non-partisan.
All upcoming election seats are non-partisan.

On the docket for discussion is the sale of property to Carson Tahoe Regional Health Care, development of affordable/workforce housing near Butti Way, purchasing a new radio dispatch console system and public safety audio equipment and more.

This event will be a barbecue and a speaking engagement. We will have good food and music. It is Saturday, July 20.
The event will be held at the Firefighters Memorial on the East side of Mills Park. Entrance is just off of Saliman Rd across from the high school. We are asking for an RSVP which you can do by following the link to the facebook event at the bottom.

The first two columns showed that since FY06 state spending has grown faster than Nevada’s economy, thus imposing an ever-larger real burden on Nevada families and businesses, whose real per-capita incomes are lower now than in FY06. The other two analyses reviewed spending on health and social services and on K-12 education, the two largest budget items by far and the only major areas on which spending has grown faster than Nevada’s economy.

Secretary Of State Rejects Requests For Mail Ballot Only Precincts For Special Election
Submitted by Nevada News Bureau on Thu, 07/07/2011 - 4:34pmCARSON CITY – Secretary of State Ross Miller has denied requests from Esmeralda and Nye counties to expand the number of mail ballot only precincts in their counties for the special election to fill the 2nd Congressional District seat set for Sept. 13.
While both counties claimed they would realize modest cost savings by designating more mail ballot only precincts, Miller said his overriding concern is the integrity of the election process.
