“A Christmas Chaos” is a hilarious romp of everything that can go wrong in front of and behind the curtain of a community theater production. When the Royal Shakespeare Company – slated to perform the Dickens classic, “A Christmas Carol” – is waylaid, the local troupe is forced to rewrite, rehearse and perform a replacement.

Nevada Attorney General settles with Johnson and Johnson over Risperdal disclosure

Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto announced Thursday that she and 36 other AGs reached a record $181 million settlement, the largest multi-state consumer protection settlement of its kind reached with a pharmaceutical company, with Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a subsidiary of Johnson and Johnson. Nevada’s share of the settlement will be $3.3 million.

With out their support this would not have been possible for these fine athletes. Our Juniors (13-14 year olds) and Seniors (15-16 year olds) both Finished 1 and 3 in their tournaments and failed to advance to the Little League World Series but had an experience that most kids never have had.

The Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation announced that the Boys & Girls Clubs of Las Vegas (Las Vegas, Nev.) and Elko Boys & Girls Club (Elko, Nev.) will both receive a $10,000 start-up grant to implement Triple Play programming. Additionally, Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows (Reno, Nev.) and Boys & Girls Club of Western Nevada (Carson, Nev.) will receive $5,000 Triple Play Healthy Habits grants to provide programming focused on teaching the importance of healthy eating habits and being physically active.

Mountain Bike Nevada Seeks Adventure Riders

For the second time in history, mountain bike enthusiasts are welcome to join their peers on a great "Mountain Bike Nevada" adventure and ride through Nevada, border to border, from Sept. 8-18, 2012. Gov. Brian Sandoval Announces Deal With Amazon To Collect Nevada Sales Tax On Web Purchases

CARSON CITY – Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval announced today that the state has reached an agreement with on-line retailing giant Amazon to begin collecting Nevada sales tax on purchases.

Nevada Gaming Control Board hits AA Gaming with fine, loss of license

AA Gaming Inc., and its owner Alan Adams, negotiated a settlement in February with the Nevada Gaming Control Board that will result in a $2,000 fine and the loss of the company's unrestricted gaming license.

AA Gaming was issued a license in 2008 to operate slot machines in Doppelganger's in downtown Carson City. AA Gaming continued to operate the slot machines after the bar reopened as High Sierra Brewery under new owner Jim Phalan. Adams continues to own the building.

Adams also formerly owned half of the Carson Nugget Casino until it was purchased by the Mae Adams Trust.
