Homeschoolers curriculum sale, clothing exchange at Carson City's Hilltop Community Church

Annual F.A.I.T.H. Homeschoolers Curriculum Sale and Clothing Exchange will be held May 4 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Hilltop Community Church, 3588 Romans Road in Carson City.

The public is invited. Those attending can:
- Browse through curriculum.
- Ask questions about homeschooling.
- Receive curriculum and resources at 50-90 percent discount.
- Bring or take items from the FREE table.
- Clothing Exchange: Bring your gently used children’s clothing, and/or take home clothing for your own children!

Come to the Tuscarora Room on the 2nd floor for the mini-market where all the vendors are homeschool kids ages 5–17! Meet our young entrepreneurs and buy their homemade crafts, goods, and treats.

Homeschool kids who have already reserved a vendor booth will sell their art, crafts, baked goods, and business ideas.

7 year old has visions of whittling Hogwarts style wands.

AT&T supports WNC Jump Start College with $14,000 donation

AT&T has granted Western Nevada College $14,000 to help fund Jump Start College, an innovative, dual-enrollment program developed by Western Nevada College to encourage postsecondary education among high school students. The grant was awarded through AT&T Aspire.

Carson City teams earn high honors in Nevada First LEGO League Robotics tournament

Several Carson City school teams received high honor while competing in the third Northern Nevada First LEGO League tournament in Sparks this weekend, including a Judge's Award for the "Salon" team of Carson Middle School and the Project Presentation Awarded to the "Junior Geek Squad' of Eagle Valley Middle School.
