Friends to All is dedicated to bringing joy, cheer and friendship to seniors in our community during the holiday season.

Since 1999 this group has been working to meet the needs of those with limited financial resources who are home bound or in care centers with little or no family nearby. Each year 150-200 visits are averaged in the Carson City area!

Art doll maker Christine Shively-Benjamin of Carson City will be among more than 30 artists from Northern Nevada featured at the 24th annual Artisan Show and Sale Friday and Saturday, Nov. 2-3, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Reno. Admission is free and at least 20 pieces of original art will be given away.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Nicholas, and about a million friends, and colleagues, including the many people she helped on their journeys in her various roles in the community. She died of issues related to metastatic breast cancer on June 21, at 3:07 a.m. the exact minute the Summer Solstice began.
