November 11, 2021 (All day) It's Turkey Time! Friends In Service Helping is hosting their annual High Five Turkey Drive this Thursday, Nov. 11 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Nissan Carson City. Donate a frozen turkey (sides are welcome too!) or $10 so we can do the shopping for you. Help us provide a “Holiday for the Hungry” this Thanksgiving season.
Nissan Carson City is located at 2750 S Carson St, Carson City.
Local realtor seeks donations for Carson Valley Food Closet; hopes to raise $1,000 to provide food for local families

GARDNERVILLE — RE/MAX Realty Affiliates of Gardnerville, Realtor Ginger Easley is working once again to raise funds for the Carson Valley Food Closet.
Easley has raised thousands of dollars for the food closet, along with hundreds of pounds of food through annual client gatherings and online fundraisers since 2016.

Dayton Food Pantry in need of hams, sleeping bags during holidays

For the winter holidays, the Dayton Food Pantry has a goal of collecting 200 hams. In addition, the Pantry is in need of clean blankets and sleeping bags to distribute.

Santa will be making an appearance with a music-filled parade through downtown Carson City this Saturday, Dec. 8. Children, veterans, and community members are welcomed to join in the parade to help escort Santa through the town.

As we round the corner into the new year, Divine 9 courses in Carson City and Carson Valley have a number of deals and events lined up for the holidays and beyond. Go here to learn what's on tap. Also here's a reminder: Silver Oak Golf and Event Center is holding its holiday food drive. Bring three or more cans of food or non-perishable food items and get a free bucket of driving range golf balls. Bring five or more and get a bucket of balls, a hot dog and a soft drink. All food donations will be sent to Friends in Service Helping Need (FISH).
