The Reno native has been impressing audiences with his smooth voice and guitar playing talent. Stafford will perform songs from his newly released album “On a String”. The Reno Gazette Journal named it one of the 10 best albums released by area artists this year.
After gaining experience playing open mics around Reno, Stafford became a regular performer at area restaurants and bars. His musical talent, low key stage presence and good looks earned him a large following.

Movie Review: 'Hugo' is Scorsese at his best and a holiday treat for all ages

It's Martin Scorsese's homage to film pioneer Georges Méliès, a French innovator who created much of the library of movie techniques back before World War I only to be forgotten amid the strife on combat in France. His films were largely destroyed to make such things as guitar picks.
November Jazz from Mile High Jazz Band

Carson Street, across the street from the state legislature building in Carson City. General admission is $5 at the door; free for age 18 and under. Dance instruction, 6:00-7:15 p.m. is $5 additional.

The performance is part of the Brewery Art Center’s Classical Performance Series and is presented in collaboration with the Sierra Nevada Guitar Society.
The Italian born musician will perform both traditional and modern works to create a magical musical experience. Fiore is an imaginative and accomplished guitar player who is comfortable in a wide variety of styles. His music making has both flair and depth.

Jazz from 6 to 8 p.m. at Carson Plaza Senior Living, 2120 E. Long St., features performances by Judith Ames and friends. Song stylist Judith Ames has been singing jazz and Latin tunes in multiple languages around the area for the past six years. She will be joined by two fabulous musicians - Rocky Tatarelli, on tenor sax, and Paul January on keys.

Carson City man accused of stealing iPad and WWF belt from disabled roommate

David J. Catalani, 32, is being held on $55,000 bail. He told authorities he pawned the victim's possessions in order to pay for domestic violence classes.
