On Feb. 8 at 6:30pm, the Douglas County Historical Society presents a 55-minute Chautauqua presentation of Lake Tahoe’s wealthy and eccentric George and Elia Whittell. Local authors and historians David and Gayle Woodruff re-enact the characters of one of the wealthiest couples on the West Coast during the 1920s through 1950s.
