School board trustee to speak at Monday's Democratic luncheon

July 1, 2024 - 1:00pm The speaker at Monday's Democratic luncheon will be Michael Walker, who has held the District 5 seat on the Carson City School Board for the past eight years. He was named board president in 2020, and in 2024 became board clerk. He has served on several committees, and as a Director on the Nevada Association of School Boards.

October 17, 2022 - 1:00pm The featured speaker at Monday's Democratic luncheon will be Elizabeth Mercedes Krause, Democratic candidate for Nevada District 2 of the US House of Representatives. In the June 14 Democratic primary, Mercedes came in first with 47% of the vote out of a field of seven candidate. In the November 8 four-way general election, she will face off against Republican incumbent Mark Amodei as well as Independent American Russell Best and Libertarian Darryl Baber. Early voting begins on Saturday, October 22nd.
