Carson Tahoe Health is taking a proactive stance on diabetes awareness throughout the month of November, with a key highlight being the much-anticipated Diabetes Health Fair scheduled for Nov. 11, 20223, from 9 a.m. to noon. The event will take place at the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.

Join us for a monthly diabetes support group virtually and/or in person, at the Health & Wellness Institute (1470 Medical PKWY, Suite 250). Each month will feature a different topic. Support group classes are led by Bridget Wood, RD, LD, and or Stefanie Bischoff, BSN, RN

Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey Counties meets on the second Thursday of each month. The Coalition’s next public meeting is Thursday, August 13 via Zoom at 9 a.m.

The first week of November marches along with sunshine to continue into the foreseeable future. As one of only two certified diabetes education programs in Northern Nevada, Carson Tahoe Health in Carson City has once again been awarded the prestigious American Diabetes Association Education Recognition Certificate for providing an outstanding diabetes self-management education program.
