The concert will be at St. John’s Presbyterian Church located at 1070 W. Plumb Lane in Reno, NV. This wonderful afternoon of music will feature two gifted young artists: Soprano Alyssa Caplan and Mezzo-Soprano Anna Caplan accompanied by Carol House on piano.

Carson City Symphony chorus begins rehearsals for Holiday Treat Concert

Rehearsals are Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. under the direction of Michael Langham at the Choral Room in Carson High School, 1111 N. Saliman Road, in Carson City.
The Carson City Symphony Chorus is an expansion of the Carson Chamber Singers, now in its 34th year. The Chorus is open to all singers, high-school age and above.

The Carson City Fair at Fuji Park offers a plethora of entertainment for all ages including tractor pulls, a carnival, and farm animals. Under the shade of the Mills Park cottonwoods, you’ll have all day to peruse the varied vehicles in the annual Run Whatcha Brung Car Show. The sun will come out tomorrow, but it’s the stars that are coming out tonight for the free Levitt Amp Concert at the Brewery Arts Center.

Milton Merlos, who plays in the Spanish Flamenco style, is a native of Boston. Merlos started playing the guitar at age twelve, and began playing professionally at sixteen. Travels to Spain instilled a love for the Spanish Flamenco style of playing. Now a professional musician with eighteen years of experience, he lives part-time in western Nevada.

Mike Beck is asolo artist who is a regularly featured performer at The National Cowboy Poetry and Music Gathering in Elko. He has cowboyed on some of central Nevada's largest cattle ranches.
