After the statewide shutdown in March due to COVID-19, Carson City area casinos are preparing to return to business this week, joining dozens of casinos in northern Nevada as they are set to resume operations on Thursday, June 4, the first day gaming establishments are allowed to reopen.

Its main street is lined with mom and pop shops, restaurants and businesses with owners who’ve called this small mountain mining town their home for years.

***The Comstock will go nuts on Saturday, March 14 at its annual pre-St. Patrick’s Day warmup and festival like no other where the revelry is wild, the beer flows icy green and the food orders of the day pay homage to the parts of the male cow anatomy that usually wind up snipped.
