The Carl Howell Memorial Music Festival at Battle Born Harley boasts a full day of live music, vendors, activities and family fun. Bowers Mansion plays host to the annual Bluegrass Festival – bring a picnic and enjoy. Downtown Carson City will see the first of three monthly Beer Crawls; if you get there early, head over to Remedy’s to witness their yearly Bloody Mary Competition. There is something for everyone this weekend, so keep reading and find your fun.
Carson Online, Flexible School Choice

It has become a very successful online credit option for students in CCSD that has helped change culture, provide technological support, and has helped raise the graduation rate in our district. During the last school year, online options assisted over 970 students.

Carson High's Future Health Professionals to represent Nevada at international conference

The Reno-Tahoe Odyssey, a 178 mile relay, passes through Carson City on its way to Virginia City. A huge congratulations goes out to the Class of 2017; the Carson High graduates will get their diplomas today. It’s wine walk weekend, so downtown will be hopping with sippers, strollers, and plenty of summer fun. Keep reading, and you’re sure to find something to make this weekend special.

The Annual Cops and Kids Open House at the Carson City Sheriff’s Department is a family favorite with free food, activities, and games. Treasure hunters will be kept busy with the Genoa Community Garage Sale, as well as one encompassing the Saratoga Springs area of Johnson Lane. Nevada PTA awards scholarships to 3 CHS students, honors 9 in art and literature contest
Submitted by editor on Mon, 05/15/2017 - 11:17amTaylor Saarem, Nicolaus Salm and Megan Tingle of Carson High School were honored as the 2017 Nevada Parent Teacher Association’s Battle Born Scholarship Winners. Both Saarem and Salm earned $500 scholarships while Tingle earned the highest $1,000 scholarship. Students from Carson City Made up nearly half of the 2017 winners — only seven candidates in the state were awarded scholarships.

The wind blows, and the trees dance. Cats and dogs run to and fro playing with one another, at least most of the time. Wild animals, though difficult to see at times, are moving about through the forest in search of food. So what is the story here a reader will ask?
CHS students are taking advantage of the beautiful weather, and some of them are going too far with the natural.
Senator Square: New Star Wars club at Carson High School

To date, CHS Advisor, physics, astronomy, heliophysics coordinator, and head freshman football coach Jim Bean said the club has had two meetings so far.
