The Capital Ford has been serving this area for over 30 years. This upcoming Wednesday, Nov. 16 we will be serving the members of our community in a much more literal way. AAA Carson City is hosting an open house Tuesday, Nov. 1 in conjunction with the Carson City Chamber of Commerce breakfast mixer.

The chamber mixer begins at 8 a.m. with breakfast and coffee at the AAA office, 2901 S. Carson Street. The fall festival continues from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. AAA will provide product discounts, games with prizes, and refreshments.

What’s up, Carson City? Hopefully you’ve got your taxes wrapped up for the year. If you’ve left it until the last moment, you can get them filed online or head to the post office until 5 p.m.; for those who need a last minute postmark, the Reno Main Post Office at 2000 Vassar Street will accept tax returns for postmarking up to 12 midnight.

A popular Carson Valley food and wine bistro is expanding to Carson City. Tahoe Ridge Winery will open in the former Station Grille restaurant location, across from the Carson Mall on Carson Street. The announcement was made at a Carson City Chamber mixer Wednesday and today by the chamber in its daily newsletter.

The Chamber notes the “winery is a great upscale fit for our city and will be a great addition to our tourism offerings as well.

David Ruf, owner of Greenhouse Garden Center, hosted Carson City Chamber Mixer and summer BBQ in the outdoor garden center. New members Angie Smith and Ron Kendall introduced to business members of Carson City and Reno in attendance.

Thomas Jefferson paid a surprise visit to Northern Nevada Coin, host of the November Chamber mixer. Mr. Jefferson presented some wise words to live by. Shown are the staff of Northern Nevada Coin and some Chamber members.

Enjoy the first day of summer and Chamber Mixer with Southwest Gas and Butler Gourmet Meats June 20 at 5 P.M. Butler Gourmet Meats will be presenting a menu with some favorite summer barbeque meals and specialty items.
The cost is free for members, $20 for non-members. This event will be located at 400 Eagle Station Lane.

University of Nevada Reno football coach Chris Ault spoke at the Carson City Chamber of Commerce monthly mixer tonight at Carson City Toyota.

Ault spoke about the school's transition from the Western Athletic Conference to the Mountain West Conference, and his outlook for the coming season.

Also in attendance were members of the UNR cheerleading squad, along with UNR mascot Alphie.

With the snow clearing up, the Carson City Chamber of Commerce says it is even more of a reason to join them at their weekly mixer, today at Lodge Assisted Living & Memory Care, 2200 E. Long Street.

Sierra Hearth & Home, Closets & Blinds will host a mixer for the Carson City Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, Nov. 17 beginning at 5 p.m. Sierra Hearth & Home is located at 2350 S. Carson Street, Suite 1. It's a great time and place to meet, just as the holiday season begins.

The Tahoe Ridge Winery and Marketplace will host the next Carson City Chamber of Commerce mixer. The mixer begins at 5 p.m. with a wine tasting. Tahoe Ridge Winery and Marketplace is located at 1644 Highway 395 in Minden. The cost is $5 for chamber members and $20 for non-members and includes the wine tasting, food and raffle prizes.

"Bowling, Burgers, Beer" and a dash of politics are the tall orders tonight at the recently remodeled Carson Lanes as U.S. Congressman Dean Heller, R-Carson City, stopped by the Chamber of Commerce mixer.

In the latest Carson City Chamber of Commerce calendar update sent to members today, an item in small print stuck out to us like a giant billboard. In announcing the June 16, 5 p.m. Chamber Mixer at Geeks of Nevada, at 520 South Curry Street, there's a surreptitious note, in small type, which reads "behind the soon-to-be-opened Ormsby House."
