Nevada water resources specialist receives national award for flood, Tahoe clarity work

2016 Get on the Bus Carson River Watershed Tour

The Carson Water Subconservancy District is offering a bus tour of the Carson River Watershed from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on June 7 and 8, 2016. The Carson River Watershed “Get on the Bus” Tour will cover a variety of watershed topics and locations from the headwaters in Alpine County, CA to the terminus at the Carson Sink near Fallon, NV.

Roop Street, Carson City, NV. Daniel P. Beard, Former Commissioner at the Bureau of Reclamation and Author of Deadbeat Dams is the keynote speaker. His talk will give a unique perspective on water issues and policies facing the western states.

Yellow Starthistle Lurks

The workshop will be a couple of hours, after work for most, and in some very pretty locations near the Carson River. It will be fun AND informative and you will get to visit areas that are “off the beaten path.”

Carson River Coalition ramps effort to fight aquatic invasive species threat
