Carson High School student Timothy Jones was remembered by family, friends, school teachers and coaches Monday at a Celebration of Life service in Carson City.

The Carson City community held its third annual Holiday Crawl Benefit 2017 on Saturday to raise money for the Holiday with a Hero campaign that gives local homeless children a chance to shop for themselves and family for Christmas. The downtown Carson City event was attended by more than 400 people, up about 100 from last year, organizers say.

Bring your hats, gloves and wear your favorite Christmas sweater for an evening walk Saturday through downtown Carson City meant to warm your heart and spread holiday cheer.

The third annual Holiday with a Hero Pub Crawl is the event, with all proceeds from ticket sales going to a community wide effort to give homeless children in Carson City a Christmas shopping spree at Walmart.

CARSON CITY — The goal of Nevada Health Centers’ Mammovan is to make mammography services accessible and convenient for women by visiting locations across Nevada. The Mammovan will be making a stop in Carson City on Friday, Dec. 1.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church will be presenting a Live Nativity display on Saturday December 16, 2017, from 6-8PM, on the front lawn of the Church. The Church is located at 1837 N. The Capital City Arts Initiative [CCAI] announces its faculty exhibition, "Inspirations", at the Community Development Building [the Brick], 108 E Proctor Street, Carson City. The Brick is open to the public daily, 8am – noon, 1-4pm. The exhibition will remain in the building’s lobby exhibition space from October 23, 2017 through January 11, 2018. CCAI will host a reception for the artists on Wednesday, November 15, 5-7pm in the Brick.

The 14th annual Holiday With a Hero campaign is officially underway. The goal is to give at least 200 homeless children in Carson City a holiday gift to remember by presenting them with a $100 gift card to spend during a special shopping spree at Walmart.

Our loving wife and mother passed away on September 21, 2017 in Carson City in the arms of her family.

Lucy was born on October 9, 1938 to John and Thelma Freeman in Francis, OK. She had 3 brothers and 1 sister; Jimmy, George, Johnny and Ramona. They moved from Oklahoma to Alta Loma, CA in 1945. Lucy graduated from Chaffey High in 1956.
