The November Gobble Wine Walk kicks off in downtown Carson City followed by a new “Paths and Pedals” bike tour. Sierra Lutheran High School is also hosting a Christmas craft fair on Saturday. Virtual Spooky Science with a Mad Scientist

Fall-themed train rides from the Virginia Truckee Railroad Company and the Nevada State Railroad Museum will be available on Saturday and Sunday. A virtual “Light After Dark” fitness event will be held on Saturday to support the Carson City-based Advocated to End Domestic Violence program. Lions Club kicks off its annual “White Cane Days” Saturday and Sunday in Carson City to increase awareness of the white cane traffic safety laws, and collect used eyeglasses for distribution to those in need. Local business Wizard of Pawz grooming salon hosts a socially-distanced grand opening on Saturday afternoon, followed by a pool tournament at Bulldog Billiards at 6 p.m. Combined with live music and karaoke, the state capitol will be packed with excitement! Boys & Girls Club offers back to school activities, learning programs for Carson City area kids

The Carson City location at 1870 Russell Way is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with dozens of hands-on programs. Spots inside the building are limited to 135 kids each day, but countless activities will be held throughout the year.

Steam train rides in Carson City and Virginia City will be available Saturday through Sunday. The Carson Canyon Railbike Tours will run four times over the next three days, bringing excitement unlike any other. Sand Harbor in Lake Tahoe will open two hours early beginning at 6 a.m. to ease capacity and congestion. Combined with plenty of live music, Labor Day weekend will be a thrill! Carson City Library looking for tech-savvy teen interns for paid internship

Digitorium interns help manage the library's teen space and assist with program planning and implementation. The Digitorium Internship starts Sept. 1 and runs through the 2020/2021 school year.
