Seven Carson City businesses flagged in alcohol compliance check

Seven local businesses were flagged by the Carson City Sheriff's Office on Saturday during an alcohol to minors compliance check.

The team consisted of two deputies and two underage decoys, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office press statement. The decoys were sent into the businesses using their actual identification and they attempted to purchase alcohol from an employee.

The Carson City Sheriff's Office routinely conducts these checks with grant money it gets from the Nevada Juvenile Programs Justice Office.
