Grand Opening of Carson Lanes in Carson City Aug. 7-8

That's why it will celebrate with a huge weekend open house, complete with contests, kids carnival, dance demonstrations, games, live music, a dunk tank and $2,000 in free prize giveaways.
The fun begins Saturday, Aug. 7 with bowling and happy hour deals and random gift card drawings throughout the day. A ribbon cutting ceremony begins at 11 a.m.
The classic rock band Band Intent will play from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.

Transient holding 'in need of weed' sign arrested; alleged seller faces felony drug charge
Submitted by editor on Tue, 06/08/2010 - 6:15pmA transient who held a sign that said "in need of weed" at the Carson Nugget faces misdemeanor drug charges, while the man who allegedly sold him marijuana faces felony charges, authorities said.
The alleged seller, Timothy Kinsey, 43, of Carson City was arrested, as was the transient, Zachary Gonzales, following the alleged transaction seen by Nugget security.

As if channeling the “Little Engine that Could,” the historic railway started right where it left off last year with overwhelming public support. After a sold-out season in 2009, the V&T has expanded operations to Friday through Sunday rides, now through Oct. 31.
The strong beginning to the V&T’s summer operations has tourism officials hopeful the trend sticks.

"We had a couple of seats left, with quite a few tickets sold for tomorrow," said Candy Duncan, executive director of the Carson City Convention and Visitors Bureau. "Today went very smoothly and everyone was excited about going on that first ride of the season."

This upscale billiards room features 3 Regulation 8' Tables and 1 Tournament Grade 9' Table. All the tables are available by the hour (not coin-op). You must be 16 and above to rent a table (equipment available at the front desk. A driver's license, state i.d. or credit card is required). Kids twelve and above can play if accompanied by an Adult or Guardian. Food and Drinks are available and allowed in the Billiards Room.
