Over 100 Nevadans protested, testified against Senate Bee Bill in Carson City Thursday

Senate Bill 389, relating to the ability to keep bees in residential zones in Nevada, which has been hotly debated since it was announced on March 20, was read during a Natural Resources Committee meeting Wednesday.
Residents attended to an extent that legislative staff needed to open an overflow room to provide for those gathered, in which the meeting was televised from down the hall.

An official backer of the bill was Carson City’s own Assemblyman Al Kramer, who has now submitted an amendment to have his name taken off the bill as a co-sponsor, and plans to do his best to kill the bill.

Submitted by Danielle Cook on Fri, 03/23/2018 - 2:08pmThe weekend has arrived, and it will be an exceptionally long one for the schoolkids of Carson City: spring break begins Monday. There’s a rumor of snowfall for this weekend, but it’s not expected to be too heavy in the valley. Don’t quote me on that, though, I’ve been wrong before. Break a leg to the Douglas students performing in ‘Game of Tiaras’ this weekend; the show sounds hilarious, but be warned, it’s not for kids. For a family friendly outing, check out Story Time with Suzie at the Nevada Railroad Museum, or photos with the Easter Bunny at PetSmart.
