Ballot Question 3 is receiving a lot of air time from both sides, convincing you to vote for or against this complex initiative that would amend the Declaration of Rights within the Nevada Constitution should the voters vote in favor of a competitive retail energy market.

Governor Sandoval announces Committee on Energy Choice membership

Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval announced Monday his appointments to the Governor’s Committee on Energy Choice. Sandoval named Lt. Gov. Mark Hutchison Chairman of the Committee and has brought together a broad range of energy experts, consumer advocates, and stakeholders.

CARSON CITY, NV – Gov. Brian Sandoval announced Monday that he has appointed Lt. Governor Mark Hutchison to serve as Chairman of the Governor’s Committee on Energy Choice. The Governor announced the body’s creation during his biennial State of the State address in January.

Ballot Question 1, creating a Court of Appeals

The problem is that the Nevada Supreme Court is overwhelmed by appeals. But the proposed fix, detailed in Senate Bill 463 (2013), does not address the fact that the Court has no authority to decide which cases it will hear. Instead, Nevada must be just like everybody else, a “government of, by and for lawyers.”
