Breakfast with Santa coming to Governor’s Mansion in Carson City December 16
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Fri, 11/17/2023 - 10:39amAs a young mother hoping to create positive and lasting holiday memories for my daughter, I would book us for breakfast with Santa that usually took place in a large department store when we lived in Washington D.C and San Diego.
The event was memorable though I don’t recall the menu, for the food was secondary to the overall event. What I recall most was the delight of children as they spied Santa and Mrs. Claus or the elves.

Submitted by Jeff Munson on Thu, 12/05/2013 - 10:54amA winter storm is headed for Carson City on Friday, but there's a good chance the weather event will happen after 8 p.m., missing the Silver and Snowflakes Festival of Lights at the Nevada State Capitol Building.
"It will be more than likely that people will be able to get out before it even starts," said National Weather Service Meteorologist Dawn Johnson. "It looks like the brunt of the impacts will happen overnight Friday night, with some snow beginning after 8 p.m., and the heaviest snow after midnight."
