Man jailed on domestic battery charges after allegedly fighting with brothers
A 28-year-old Dayton man was arrested Tuesday, 8:32 p.m. in the 8500 block of Highway 50 East on two counts misdemeanor domestic battery, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, officers met with the reporting witness who said his three sons had been in a fight earlier.
Officers interviewed one of the sons involved in the fight who said he was punched in the face. The other victim said he and his brother got into an argument at a Carson City bar and he was punched in the face and kicked.
Both victims had injuries. Officers determined the 28-year-old to be the primary aggressor. His father had taken him home following the altercation. He was arrested with assistance of the Lyon County Sheriff's Office. Bail: $6,274.
A 42-year-old Discovery Bay, Calif., man was arrested Tuesday, 9:02 p.m. in the 1900 block of North Carson Street. He faces a gross misdemeanor charge of possessing a dangerous weapon and a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct.
According to the arrest report, officers were called to the area to look for a man reportedly running through traffic along Carson Street. Officers located the man laying down in the entrance to CVS between two display racks. He was grossly intoxicated and unable to stand on his own, the report states. He was arrested for disorderly conduct. At jail officers found a belt that had a knife integrated into the buckle. The knife and buckle combination is considered a deadly weapon. Bail: $2,742.
— A 41-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday, 10:08 p.m. in the 900 block of Terrace Street on a felony probation hold and suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery.
Arrested was Delana Watts. She’s being held without bail pending a hearing on the probation violation and $3,132 on the domestic battery charge.
According to the arrest report, officers were called to the residence. The woman allegedly assaulted her 18-year-old son after he was told to leave her home. The woman denies she hit her son. An officer determined the woman to be the primary aggressor and was arrested.
— A 21-year-old Carson City man turned himself into Carson City Jail authorities Tuesday, 3:30 p.m. on two misdemeanor warrant charges, issued Dec 23, 2014 and Dec. 11, 2014. Bail: $3,215.
Those arrested and facing criminal charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
