Free curbside Christmas tree pickup in Carson City happening now through Jan. 19; drop-off also open
Now that Christmas is over, your beautiful Christmas tree might be looking a little worse for wear, but don’t fret, the Christmas Tree recycling program is happening now around Carson City.
On your normal pick up day, you can either place your Christmas tree on the curb, or within your green waste can, for Waste Management to pick up.
Trees cannot be picked up if they are over six feet in length. If trees are over six feet, please cut them into no more than six-foot pieces.
Trees must be decoration-free.
Tree pickup will continue through Jan. 19, in case you want to hang on to the holiday spirit just a little bit longer.
Can’t wait for your tree to be picked up? You can also drop your tree off for free with Public Works now at their location on Airport Road between Butti and 5th Streets near the Humane Society. Simply follow signage and drop the tree in the dirt lot for it to be recycled!
If you have any questions regarding curbside pick up, please contact Waste Management by email at carsoncity@wm.com, on the MyWM app, or by phone at 775 343 7596.
