On the agenda:
— A new subdivision known as Borda Crossing is asking for an extension time on construction stating that due to high interest rates, buyers would not be able to qualify for homes in the subdivision.
The subdivision was tentatively approved in February 2021 located at the corner of Silver Sage Drive and Clearview Drive on property zoned single family 6,000. They are seeking a one-year extension of time with the hopes that the market will stabilize within that time frame.
— Supervisors will discuss the proposed acceptance of a subgrant from the Nevada Attorney General's office in the amount of $132,694 to fund a full time position for a Juvenile Outreach Specialist, and a contracted drug and alcohol counselor.
— Supervisors will discuss a proposed drainage easement located on private property to provide additional drainage to Mills Park at no cost to the city. The drainage is necessary for planned improvements to Mills Park and will allow for a storm drain channel connection with the high school.
— A contract with Reyman Brothers will be discussed in the amount of $1.36 million for the Fleet Tire and Welding Shop Project, which consists of demolishing the existing tire shop building and constructing an addition to the maintenance building that will house a new tire and welding shop.
