DCSO investigates and finds nothing following bomb threat, clears Gardnerville Walmart to open
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office swept the Walmart store on Grant Avenue in Gardnerville on Thursday afternoon and found nothing suspicious following a bomb threat earlier, giving the clear for the store to open.
At approximately 3:30 p.m. the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office lifted the evacuation of Walmart after it had been closed since around 1:50 p.m. The store is now open and the public as well as employees are able to return, according to a DCSO news release.
The Tahoe Douglas Bomb Squad K-9 and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office detectives investigated the store in response to the reported bomb threat, the news release concluded.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office evacuated Walmart on Grant Avenue in Gardnerville Thursday afternoon because of a bomb threat. The store is currently closed until further notice and the public is being asked to avoid the area.
