Carson City Sheriff's Office honors volunteers at appreciation dinner
The Carson City Sheriff's Office held its annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner on Nov. 4, 2023, to recognize and celebrate the dedicated volunteers who tirelessly support the sheriff's office.
The event, attended by prominent figures including Sheriff Ken Furlong, Under Sheriff Jerome Tushbant, Assistant Sheriffs James Primka and Daniel Gonzales, and Volunteer Coordinator Robert Rikalo, served as an opportunity to express gratitude to the CCSO volunteers.
The volunteers were commended for their remarkable commitment, with some having dedicated over 47 years of service to the community.
Congressman Mark Amodei also graced the occasion, acknowledging the invaluable contributions of the entire CCSO volunteer team in giving back to the Carson City community.
In recognition of their efforts, each volunteer was presented with a certificate of appreciation. Congressman Amodei further extended his gratitude by awarding congressional recognition to each volunteer for their remarkable service.
The 2023 Carson City Sheriff's Office Volunteer Dinner highlighted the exceptional work of various volunteer groups, including members from the Uniformed Reserve Unit, Cadets, Search and Rescue, Mounted Unit, Aero Squadron, VIPs, Chaplains, Front Counter Volunteers, Jail Visitation Volunteers, and Administrative Volunteers.
During the 2023 year, CCSO volunteers have graciously volunteered a remarkable 19,322-plus hours of service and have a truly diverse team of over 120 volunteers with an accumulated 800-plus years serving the Carson City Sheriffs Office.
