Douglas County Sheriff's Office continues investigation into Topaz Ranch Estates death
Detectives of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office are continuing their investigation into an apparent homicide which occurred at 4100 Gray Hills Rd, in the Topaz Ranch Estates residential area of south Douglas County.
On Tuesday, November 15th, 2011, deputies were called to the residence after a decedent was discovered inside the residence. Investigation has revealed the decedent, identified as 59 year-old Norman Welch, to be the victim of death by gunshot. It appears the death occurred sometime within the last two weeks.
Additional details regarding the ongoing investigation cannot be revealed at this time; however detectives from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office are still seeking the public’s help in locating a person of interest in this incident.
The person of interest is identified as 38 year-old Jeanine Mona Escandon.
Escandon is described as: female, approx 5ft-6in tall, approx. 105 lbs, thin build, brown eyes, with medium length brown hair. Escandon has false front teeth.
Escandon is believed to be driving a maroon-colored 1990 Chrysler Imperial 4dr sedan, bearing Nevada personal license plate # F1NEV.
