South Lake Tahoe man jailed for allegedly selling pot to middle school children
A 56-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly selling marijuana to middle school children, according to the South Lake Tahoe Police Department.
Gary Frega, from South Lake Tahoe, was arrested on suspicion of selling marijuana to minors. Frega was booked into the El Dorado County jail and remains in custody.
Concerned parents alerted South Lake Tahoe Police earlier this month about a local man selling pot to South Tahoe Middle School students. Some of the kids were as young as 13-years-old. The police department launched an investigation with the cooperation of school officials, students and their parents.
That investigation led the department to serve an arrest and search warrant in the 1100 block of Aspenwald Road. During the search, investigators found marijuana, a digital scale and packaging material, according to SLTPD.
