Group to have rally before next Douglas County School District board meeting

Event Date:
November 14, 2023 - 4:00pm

The next meeting for the Douglas County School Board is on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 4 p.m. The day before will be a rally along US 395 from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.

The group "We Deserve A Better Board" hopes to fill the sidewalks through the middle of town with the color red and positive messages on signs to elevate their voice and show the community they want positive change.

Organizers are asking for signs that prioritize positive interactions with staff and students; support for students and staff; willingness to listen to parents, students, and staff; transparency in decision-making (including fiscal decision-making), and an open process of selecting the next superintendent.
