Carson City sheriff's deputies detained a juvenile at around 2:20 this afternoon after he was seen holding a gun to his head in an apartment complex across from Carson High School.
Traffic along Saliman was closed temporarily and then reopened to one lane of traffic. The high school was notified of the situation and advised to lock down. The advisory has since been lifted.
An ambulance was called to treat the teen for psychiatric evaluation after officers detained him. The teen has since been turned over to detectives for questioning, said Carson City Sheriff's Sgt. Scott McDaniel. No injuries were reported. The gun was recovered.
Dispatch had received several 911 calls prior to arrival.
