Carson City deputies make arrests for assault with a deadly weapon, domestic battery and warrants

A 35-year-old man was arrested Saturday for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Danny Pacheco was taken into custody at 8:56 p.m. following an investigation. According to the booking report, deputies were dispatched to a 6th Street residence for a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. The reporting party told dispatch the man had held a knife to her.
Deputies learned the parties were in different rooms, with the woman locking herself in the bathroom. Both were asked to step out of the residence where officers interviewed the victim and suspect.
The woman advised both had been drinking when the man held two knives in his hands and made comments to the woman similar to "come on, let's go," according to the report.
The suspect was read his Miranda rights and agreed to speak, saying he was involved in an argument, the report states. He initially told the officer the woman became upset during an argument and locked herself in the bathroom. He told officers there was no physical altercation with the woman, the report states.
The officer said to the man that he needed him to be honest and tell his side. The man ultimately told the deputy he grabbed two knives from the kitchen and banged them together during the argument, the report states. The deputy asked where he put the knives. The man said he put them back in the kitchen. The officer told the man they had already looked in the kitchen for the knives and they were not there. The man eventually told the officer he put the knives in the laundry room in a black and yellow tub, according to the report.
Officers went back into the residence and went to where the man said the knives were. A deputy located the knives where the man said they would be. The deputy informed the man he was under arrest for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Bail: $20,000.
In other arrests:
— A 21-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Sunday, 9:24 a.m. for suspicion of domestic battery. According to the booking report, deputies were dispatched to a residence for a domestic battery report. The anonymous party stated that around an hour prior there was an altercation.
Officers arrived and spoke with a man who advised he and the woman had gotten into an argument over money issues. The man advised he attempted to feed their child but that the woman began stating she wanted to feed the child. He stated the woman grabbed the bottle and started feeding the child and then out of nowhere lashed out and began throwing drinks at the man and soaked him and his computer, the report states.
He said he told the woman to stop and she refused, punching him in the face and scratching him. The man stated he didn't remember how many time she hit him but she had punched him multiple times and scratched his stomach area and both arms. Officers observed multiple red marks to both arms and another on his sternum.
The woman advised she can have "meltdowns" and stated she had a situation and she often blanks out when she has these meltdowns and was sorry for what she did. Due to the circumstances of the woman admitting to scratching the man, she was determined to be the primary aggressor and was arrested. Bail: $3,000.
— A 47-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Sunday for a misdemeanor outside agency warrant, alleging resisting a peace officer, out of Storey County. The warrant was issued Sept. 19, 2024. Bail: $5,000 cash.
— A 41-year-old woman, Jennifer Marie Hames, was arrested Monday for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, gross misdemeanor possession of a dangerous drug without prescription and three misdemeanor offenses: possession of drug paraphernalia, tail lamps required and lighted lamps required. Bail: $2,500.
— A 49-year-old woman was arrested Saturday for a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant issued March 3, 2022 out of Reno Township Court. Bail: $1,000 cash.
