Statewide gaming profits up, Carson City area casinos remain flat
Carson City and Carson Valley casinos saw gaming profits remain flat in September while Lake Tahoe and overall statewide figures show a steady increase, the Nevada Gaming Control Board reports Thursday.
Statewide nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $892,748,756 for the month of September, a 3.33 percent increase compared to September 2011. For the fiscal year (July 1 through Sept. 30, 2012), gaming win has increased 5.63 percent.
Casino "win" among casinos in Carson City, Minden and Gardnerville saw a 0.45 increase, taking in $8,823,305 in September, compared to $8,783,818 in September 2011.
South Shore Lake Tahoe casinos saw a five percent increase in September gaming numbers, the Nevada Gaming Control Board reports Thursday.
Casinos took in a gaming "win" of $18,011,866 in September, compared to $17,252,560 over September, 2011.
North Lake Tahoe casinos saw a 6.82 pecent increase over September 2011 figures taking in $2,755,365.
