Carson City emergency crews called to pedestrian accident at William and Saliman
UPDATE 4:13PM: An accident involving a juvenile pedestrian this afternoon is causing widespread traffic problems along William Street, according to the Carson City Sheriff's Office. Motorists are advised to stay clear of the area. The injured juvenile male has been flown to Renown Medical Center in Reno, said Carson City Fire Department Chief Sean Slamon.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Tuesday afternoon to a vehicle incident involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Saliman and William streets.
The call came into dispatch at around 3:25 p.m. A Care Flight air ambulance has been ordered. The injured juvenile male was taken to Carson City Airport where an air ambulance will fly him to the trauma ward at Renown Medical Center in Reno.
The intersection at William and Saliman is blocked. Eastbound traffic has been diverted. Motorists should avoid the area and can expect delays.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
