Enjoy Saturday warm weather as temperatures to drop Sunday and Monday
Plenty of sunshine and warm weather for Saturday's Downtown Carson City Wine Walk. That will change, however, as a cold front moves into the region, dropping temperatures for Sunday and Monday, the National Weather Service reports.
Temperatures will be in the high 60s around Carson City with breezy conditions Saturday before the strong cold front is expected to bring gusty winds and showers by late afternoon and evening with much colder temperatures for Sunday and Monday.
Afternoon highs will be around 10 to 15 degrees below normal for Sunday afternoon. Sunday's projected high in Carson City will be 49 and Monday even colder with a daytime high temperature high of 46. The nighttime low Monday night will be around 18 degrees, according to the weather service.
The Dayton area can expect a high of 71 on Saturday, a high of 49 on Sunday and a high of 47 on Monday.
In Virginia City, expect a high Saturday of 61, on Sunday 41 and Monday 40.
If you're headed to Lake Tahoe, temperatures Saturday should be in the high 50s, with a 20 percent chance of rain or snow tonight, mostly sunny skies Sunday with a high of 43 and a Monday high of 40.
