Veteran's Day Free Pancake Breakfast held at the Carson City Elk's Lodge hosted by RSVP
The Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Inc. (RSVP) is hosting a free pancake breakfast for senior veterans on Veteran’s Day, Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the Carson City Elks Lodge on 515 N. Nevada Street, Carson City, NV.
All senior local veterans are invited to join RSVP for pancakes, sausages, and beverages.
“RSVP is excited to have celebrity chefs Charlie Abowd, Carson City Supervisor Stan Jones, and Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong flipping pancakes and serving breakfast in honor of our local veterans,” said Molly Walt, C.E.O. of RSVP.
November 11, 2021 is celebrated as Veterans Day across the country and has been for over 100 years.
The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs says that Veterans Day is “a celebration to honor America's veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.” The Carson City Elks and RSVP have partnered to provide this free breakfast to give thanks to our local heroes.
