Carson City emergency crews respond to vehicle crash involving juvenile pedestrian
Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called late Sunday morning to a vehicle accident involving a juvenile pedestrian in the 1200 block of La Loma Drive in East Carson City.
The call came into dispatch shortly before 11:45 a.m. A Care Flight air ambulance has been ordered. Fire Department medical personnel on scene are treating the patient, described by dispatch as a 10-year-old male.
Dispatch was advised by first responders that the patient is conscious and alert with injuries. The juvenile was taken to the Carson City Airport where a Care Flight helicopter transported to the trauma ward at Renown Medical Center in Reno.
Deputies are interviewing the driver of the vehicle that hit the juvenile. The cause is under investigation.
