Carson City area gaming revenue climbs nearly 17 percent in August
According to the Nevada Gaming Revenue and Collections report for the month of August 2021, Carson City area casinos saw gaming revenue, also called "gaming win" at $11,605,043 compared to August 2020 where the revenue was $9,934,397.
Carson City area casinos include those in Gardnerville, Minden and other areas of Douglas County except for south shore Lake Tahoe.
Casinos at south shore Tahoe, saw their gaming revenue climb to 7.97 percent, while north shore casinos saw a plus side of 9.34 percent. Casinos in Reno and Sparks also saw gaming revenue increases, with 19.17 and 12.66 respectively.
Statewide, Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $1,165,801,985 for the month of August 2021. This amounts to a 56.91 percent increase compared to August 2020, when licensees reported a gaming win of $742,974,890. For the fiscal year (July 1, 2021 through August 31, 2021), gaming win has increased 68.39 percent.
